Bringing students from the world to New Zealand to study and perform Concerto Grossi in authentic Baroque style
Pilot project for music students to learn baroque music style
The workshop is for a small ensemble: 9 violins, 3 violas, 2 cellos, 1 double bass
One-week workshop of studying and preparing concerto grosso repertoire finished by public concert lead by Tomas Hurnik, Associate Cello Principal with Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, baroque cellist, founder of Baroque Music Community and Educational Trust of New Zealand

A.Vivaldi – Concerto no.10, op.3 in B minor RV 580
A. Corelli – Concerto grosso no.10, op.6 in C mjor
G.Ph. Telemann – Viola concerto G major TWV 51:G9
G.F. Handel – Concerto grosso no.10, op.6 in D minor HWV 328
To Be Confirmed later – Concerto grosso
Time schedule:
Monday 26th-Friday 30th, 9am-12am and 2pm-5pm'
dress rehearsal, Sunday 2nd- 2pm - public concert
Monday 3rd -concert in one of the cities on South Island
Application requirements:age min. 15 years old
Application repertoire for choosing applicants:

one movement/part from any solo J.S. Bach
-
any virtuoso piece up to 5 min (for example solo Capriccioso; part of the solo concerto – exposition; even exposition from sonata).
